The lymphatic system is comprised of the speen, thymus, appendix, tonsils, lymph nodes, lymph vessels, and lymph fluids. The lymphatic system is the body’s sewer system and one of the most vital systems in the body. It’s tasks includes removing cellular wastes, removing excessive fat, soluble compounds from the gastrointestinal tract and serving as the containment of the immune system. It creates white blood cells and antibodies providing them the area for the immune cells to clean up unwanted intruders. The lymph system also transports nutrients to various parts of the body.
It can become congested with excessive mucus and lymph from negative thoughts and emotional traumas, poor eating and breathing, sedentary lifestyles, stresses, drugs, alcohol, mistreating yourself and the list goes on. A common example of congested lymph is sinus and lung congestion, memory problems, digestive disorders, inflammation, acidic conditions, sores, inflexibility, headaches, poor digestion and so on. The lymph is so important, but often it’s over looked.
A good place to start when you may not be feel well is look to the lymphatics.
Ask yourself is your lifestyle stressful? If so work on changing it.
Are you consuming more alkalizing foods? Get a pH food chart and check out the foods you eat. You want to consume mainly a ratio of 80% alkaline to 20% acidic with severe issues more to 100% alkaline.
Are you taking time to deep breath everyday?
Are you going for walks everyday? Stretching your body as well?
Are you doing things you love to do?
Do you meditate? Yoga?
You get the idea?
Helping your lymphatic system is actually very enjoyable and the benefits will be a healthier and happier body.
I teach individually or to small groups a profoundly effective Self Lymphatic Drainage(SLD) practice. This self therapy may then be perform in the comfort of home or anywhere as long as it’s peaceful and the person does not get disturbed.
I teach information on the importance of self maintenance which builds self confidence, self empowerment and trusting of the body’s processes.
Learning this practice and doing it often will enhance healing, athletic performances, flexibility, sleep and digestion. Everyone is different in how the process of healing progresses, but I have experienced better flexibility, strength, mental clarity and enhanced digestion. I know of people who do this practice who have improvements with symptoms from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, anxiety, hairloss, eye conditions, migraine/headaches, skin issues, and more. It’s a great practice to do even if you feel good. It will enhance the feeling of well being and increase the efficiency of the immune system.
