Therapeutic Massage for relief of chronic pain, sore muscles, headaches and more
Massage is very beneficial therapy that has origins dating back thousands of years. The comfort of touch especially therapeutic can give benefits to the receiver assisting in reducing chronic pains, improving lymphatic drainage, soothing sore & tired muscles, alleviating physiological concerns, easing stress, reducing headaches and the list goes on.
The massage techniques I provide are:Swedish massage which uses five styles of long, flowing strokes. The five basic strokes are effleurage (light touch), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (compression), and vibration. Deep Tissue designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury. Shiatsu /Acupressure a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique derived from acupuncture. Reflexology a therapy working on the pressure points of the hands of feet. This therapy is based on the knowledge that there are points on the hands and feet that are connected to other parts of the body thus in therapeutically working these points healing benefits would occur. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to bring about relaxation and healing to the body. I use pharmaceutical grade Young LivingTM essential oils while performing techniques such as the Raindrop Technique®. The massage sessions are often a mixture of these techniques, bringing great relaxation. I curtail the sessions to the client and no two session are necessarily alike. Every body is different so requires different work. Click here for Treatment Fees
